Project

TATAU (pronounced tattoo) is the product of an initiative of 3 students who wants to transform the tattoo industry. Looking at the ways people have been getting tattooed we realized that it is a traditional environment that has not seen much change in the decades leading up to now. Tattoos are getting more widely accepted and are seen more and more. The aim of our imitative was to evaluate, analyze and transform the experience surrounding getting and administering tattoos creating more value and satisfaction.

Our mission was two fold, we aim to simplify the research process for a person seeking a tattoo artist in their local area, and we aim to increase exposure for tattoo artist.

Role

The role I played in this project would be assisting the graphic designer in streamlining all graphics in all screens, develop analytics for tattoo designers, defend and provide reasoning behind suggested analytics, create wireframes, and develop the strategic plan to launch the product.

‍Designed for both tattoo lovers and tattoo artists

Process

Our process loosely mirrors UK Design Council's double diamond design process. We had 5 phases to our process which involves research, strategy and design processes. For a detailed timeline, including which tools we use click here!

Phase 1: Secondary and Primary Research

Phase 2: Designing and execute customer survey

Phase 3: Affinitizing insights

Phase 4: Conceptualizing Possibilities

Phase 5: Branding, Content creation and Strategy

Final Outcome

Our final deliverable on week 10 includes a presentation, a process book, and a poster. I'd like to extend a note of thanks to Professor X who guide us along the way and both teammates in which I have the greatest pleasure of working with. To the friends and participants who participated and contributed to this project in any way big or small as well, thanks!
